The U.S President elect is becoming an iconic figure in America these days. What are the main reasons behind this cult figure image? Is it just his pleasing demeanor, his healthy and fit physique or his determination and seriousness about bringing about the change we seem to need so much. We cannot deny his sincere efforts in dealing with the US economy and the rest of the concerns of the world today. But it is his fit, charismatic personality that is drawing the younger generation towards him.

Obama’s workout regime is actually much tougher than any of his predecessors. According to him, a regular exercising regime keeps him spirited for the whole day and he is ready to take challenges of the day ahead. He wakes up early in the morning and wishes that he gets more time for exercising than what he gets presently. For six days of the week he exercises for at least 45 minutes before his day starts. He alternates between lifting weights and cardio exercises. The cardio fitness regime has played a large part in maintaining his trim figure. Unlike women, men experience menopause in slow degrees and their symptoms remain hidden until several years later. This is because unlike ovaries which stop functioning almost suddenly, the male reproductive system does not run out of substance, but maintains a flow till old age.

The main mark of menopause in men is the low level of testosterone, a hormone that significantly contributes to overall manliness. As the changes in testosterone are gradual in men, the only way to ascertain it is by blood samples. Usually, the male menopause seems to appear between the age of 45 and 50 years. However, off late, it has also been found in younger people and has also remained in very old people too. The appearance of male menopause in younger men is due to smoking, alcohol, indiscriminate drug use and life style changes.

There are medical and clinical ways of improving testosterone levels and this is done by testosterone replacement by injections. However, this can lead to several complications and side effects.
