Mens Make Up: What You Must Do

Women have always claimed domain over the world of cosmetics, but this has quickly changed. Recently, men have started wearing make up in an attempt to make themselves look more handsome. These days, women are more attracted to men who take good care of their skin and their appearance, so gone are the days of the ruggedly handsome man. This doesn’t mean that you should go looking up facelift prices quite yet, if you are new to the world of men’s make up, here are few things to consider.
The beginning step for a man’s make up is foundation or concealer. This will help even out your skin tone and create a balanced colour. It will also succeed in covering up five o’clock shadows and blemishes. Another benefit of foundation is that it is relatively unnoticeable, which should help the “man’s man” accept make up. Choose a foundation that is close to your own skin tone, and remember to apply outwards. If you have facial hair, try to avoid making contact.
Powder is a great alternative to foundation for those men with shiny or oily skin. This should cover up the appearance of shine. Apply powder to your most shiny or oily areas, specifically you forehead and nose.
To make your eyes take the forefront, you may wish to use a little eye shadow. This will bring attention to your eyes, but it is also not very noticeable.
Although women use lipstick, it is yet to be socially acceptable for men to do so. However, you have an alternative: lip gloss. This will give your lips a more natural appearance and a little extra shine, but try to use it sparingly. You don’t want to have your lips shining in the sun. Another great benefit of lip gloss is the fact that most will help moisturise your lips, which will help bring out your lips’ natural beauty.
