The Elixir of Youth for Men!

The Elixir of Youth for Men!

It is no surprise that men are joining the bandwagon in maintaining a young and vibrant look about them. The machismo trait of the rustic and rugged look does not go down too well in urban life. Priorities for looking good differ from men to women in many different ways. Women tend to have a lot more options and variance in terms of giving themselves a different kind of look, be it with makeup, hairstyles, colors, etc. Men cannot be so adventurous with their approach but nonetheless there is quite a bit of scope.

Keeping your teeth, pearly white is a good way to start. You can either use whitening toothpaste that would take about two to three weeks to show some effect or simply saunter over to your dentist for immediate results. Smile a little more and show off those dazzlers.

Men have different skin types. They need to use face wash that suits their skin type and follow it up with a moisturizer. No one likes to see a lackluster looking face staring down at him or her but of course you do not need to have a silky looking texture either. Using an eye cream after the age of 35 is highly recommended as the wrinkles start appearing there earlier than the rest of your face.

And, do trim the eyebrows! You do not need to shape them like a woman but just get a less scraggly dog look by simply tweezing a stray hair here and there, and pay special attention to the area between the eyebrows please! That stray hair protruding out of your ear or nose can be such a put off. Keep a small trimming scissor handy in your shaving kit and simply snip away.

Go beyond the blues and grays. Depending on your skin tone, try a shade of pink or light blue even purple. Red looks really good, on some guys, teamed with a pair of jeans.

Fragrance Buying Guide for Men

posted by easmgr in Uncategorized

It always pays to smell good and it is a widely unspoken rule that women are attracted to men who smell good all the time (let’s be honest, no one wants to go out with someone who smells like used campervans). Smelling good always can be termed as an inhuman task and therefore to take care of this situation perfumes were invented. There are plenty of perfumes available in the market but choosing the right one can be quite a task. A fragrance that may smell good on someone may smell awful on someone else. It is also important to choose a fragrance that will suit one’s personality and this technique can be mastered after several trial and error methods. When you are on a perfume buying trip always make sure to take a trusted friend along who can give you an honest suggestion. Meanwhile here are some points that you can remember while buying perfumes:

Perfumes are mainly of 4 kinds. You can also choose from a range of fragrance categories such as citrus, floral, oriental, leather, chypre, aquatic and woody.

  • Perfume (or Parfum): This is the strongest amongst all and lasts for the longest time.
  • Eau de Parfum: This is still strong when compared to the other types but definitely less strong than the first one.
  • Eau de Toilette: This lasts for a few hours and is considerably a popular choice among men
  • Eau de Cologne: This type of fragrance lasts for the least amount of time and is indeed the cheapest.

When buying a fragrance remember to go with a clear head or it may influence your perfume shopping and you can end up buying the wrong fragrance. You can also take coffee beans along with you. They strengthen your sense of smell and this will help you to clearly distinguish between the different fragrances with a fresh perspective. Of course, you can also take your lady love along while buying a perfume!

Why Do Men Feel So Ashamed To Take Care of Themselves?

Why Do Men Feel So Ashamed To Take Care of Themselves?

Ever since the time dinosaurs roamed the face of the earth looking pretty has just been the prerogative of the so called weaker sex– yes, that’s what women are commonly referred to! (Though, I always wonder why on earth is that!) Looking pretty is not just about looks but also about hygiene, is it not?

So women are banished for taking forever on their hair– obviously we would because our hair is much longer than men (normally!). The amount of time it takes to shampoo, condition, dry and comb, and finally style hair which is up to the waist versus up to the ear is bound to be more – don’t you reckon?

Okay, so if looks were important only for women then why are there a slew of beauty products out proudly stating “FOR MEN”? From face washes to shower gels to moisturizers everything is out there for the picking. Even c fold towels, I am not entirely sure how a towel can be for one sex or the other, but there it is. It is obvious that there is a market for this segment else there would not be so many companies jumping onto the bandwagon all of a sudden.

The whole fact of the matter is that in this day and age where we live in cities with such bad quality of air, our hair and skin has to bear the brunt of so called development. Now this muck does not specifically target the select few, which in this case are referred to as the women. Men are also inflicted with dirt and fumes from pollutant spewing cars so are they supposed to go around looking all grimy to make them look macho? Not fair, I say.

So, all you men folk out there, come out your “closed minds” and do not feel shy to proclaim to the world that you too need to use a face wash or even a moisturizer. Free yourselves from the shackles of old stereotypes!
