Fragrance Buying Guide for Men
It always pays to smell good and it is a widely unspoken rule that women are attracted to men who smell good all the time (let’s be honest, no one wants to go out with someone who smells like used campervans). Smelling good always can be termed as an inhuman task and therefore to take care of this situation perfumes were invented. There are plenty of perfumes available in the market but choosing the right one can be quite a task. A fragrance that may smell good on someone may smell awful on someone else. It is also important to choose a fragrance that will suit one’s personality and this technique can be mastered after several trial and error methods. When you are on a perfume buying trip always make sure to take a trusted friend along who can give you an honest suggestion. Meanwhile here are some points that you can remember while buying perfumes:
Perfumes are mainly of 4 kinds. You can also choose from a range of fragrance categories such as citrus, floral, oriental, leather, chypre, aquatic and woody.
- Perfume (or Parfum): This is the strongest amongst all and lasts for the longest time.
- Eau de Parfum: This is still strong when compared to the other types but definitely less strong than the first one.
- Eau de Toilette: This lasts for a few hours and is considerably a popular choice among men
- Eau de Cologne: This type of fragrance lasts for the least amount of time and is indeed the cheapest.
When buying a fragrance remember to go with a clear head or it may influence your perfume shopping and you can end up buying the wrong fragrance. You can also take coffee beans along with you. They strengthen your sense of smell and this will help you to clearly distinguish between the different fragrances with a fresh perspective. Of course, you can also take your lady love along while buying a perfume!
