Skin Care Basics for Men

Skin Care Basics for Men

Skin Care is equally important for both men and women. There are people, who still think that beauty and skin care is for women and not men. True, it may not be of same importance when compared to women, but still men need some basic care.

However, times are changing. Today quite a few numbers of men will give hundreds of reasons why they need specialized skin and beauty solutions like females. Nowadays, everyone wants to look well turned out.

Composition wise, both male and female skin care products consist of the same basic components namely elastin and collagen. They are actually proteins which form the base of any skin products. They are known to maintain the elasticity of the skin.

Dry skin is a common problem faced by almost all men after their daily shaving routine. The whole process itself is erroneous. Starting from the shaving cream to aftershave, everything irritates. The alcohol found in after shaves causes the skin to become dry and ultimately leads to rashes. Then different chemicals that go into making the shaving cream also increase the irritation. Preferably one should use something which is soothing like aloe vera and other natural additives.

Another thing that is very crucial for good beautiful skin is the retention of moisture and for that moisturizer comes handy. Men’s skin may look rough when compared to women, but they are affected the same way when they go out in the sun. Special sun screens with SPF’s are available for men. Nowadays, to counteract the various ill effects of modern life, special anti aging creams are available for men to improve things morphologically.

Skin care and overall grooming doesn’t end with cosmetics, and good hygiene with regular morning exercises proves to be very beneficial in the long run. A good night’s sleep is a must for a healthy and glowing complexion.

If you still think that men lag behind in usage of beauty care products, it better you see the real picture yourself. Modern men strive for the best.

Men’s Grooming: How To Get Rid Of Body Hair

Contrary to popular belief, there is nothing feminine about a man ridding himself of excess body hair. Sometimes it can be a real pain, it can itch, and trap sweat, causing very foul odors. Maybe you’re trying to impress a lady who just isn’t into hairy guys. Or you could be training for the next big bodybuilding competition. Whatever your reason may be you want to get rid of your body hair.

The most common and popular way to get rid of body hair, is of course to shave your face, your neck, and even the upper portion of your back. But in some cases, shaving might not be the best thing. Ever tried shaving your chest? If you don’t shave it every day, and you allow it to grow back, it tends to itch. And we don’t want that.

So what’s your next option? Waxing has good results, and even though women do it, we men tend to hate waxing. Why? Because it hurts like you know what. So if you can’t shave it, and you can’t wax it, what do you do with it?

There are various creams and lotions on the market that promote hair removal, but you’re going to need to do very careful research in order to find out what works, and what doesn’t. Go with one that has some sort of moisturizer in it. Keep in mind that what works for someone else, may literally have no effect whatsoever on you. Everyone’s body is different.

For drastic measures, you may have to resort to speaking to someone who specializes in laser hair removal. This method uses laser light energy to permanently remove unwanted hair. Very few people have reported any sort of side effects with this procedure. The procedure is also very safe when administered by a specialist. This method will certainly cost much more than any out method out there.

Women pay attention to everything you have on. You should too

Women pay attention to everything you have on. You should too

There are men in this world that know how to dress. They walk around looking great from head to toe. Everything matches and everything is in place. They do not wear socks with their sandals or a black belt with brown shoes. There are also men who you can look at and tell that they are at least trying. They try to match their clothes but just haven’t quite got it down yet. Then there are the clueless guys. The guys that have no idea what fashion is or how to master it. These men walk around with pants that are too large or too small for them, have on white socks with black shoes, and don’t do anything with their hair (and speaking of which, don’t look into hair loss treatment when they really really should).

If you are a man you need to know a few things. The just rolled out of bed look is not appealing. Women do not want to see a man with dirty clothes that are covered in wrinkles. That just makes women think that you do not care about yourself. If you do not care about yourself how can they expect you to care about them. Women read a lot into things. They see everything as a sign of how you are as a person. Everyone wakes up late sometimes and does not have time to look perfect. No one expects perfection. Effort is what is expected. Try to actually comb your hair. Wash and iron your clothes. Wear clothes that fit you. Do not try to squeeze into your little brothers shirt. Do not wear pants that if you had to run would fall to your ankles. A woman should not know what underwear you have on everyday until you are living together and she has seen you in only them. If you take pride in your appearance it will send a great message to a woman.

The beginning step for a man’s make up is foundation or concealer. This will help even out your skin tone and create a balanced colour. It will also succeed in covering up five o’clock shadows and blemishes. Another benefit of foundation is that it is relatively unnoticeable, which should help the “man’s man” accept make up. Choose a foundation that is close to your own skin tone, and remember to apply outwards. If you have facial hair, try to avoid making contact.

Powder is a great alternative to foundation for those men with shiny or oily skin. This should cover up the appearance of shine. Apply powder to your most shiny or oily areas, specifically you forehead and nose.

To make your eyes take the forefront, you may wish to use a little eye shadow. This will bring attention to your eyes, but it is also not very noticeable.

Beauty tips for the new age man

Beauty tips for the new age man

Nowadays, beauty salons for men are increasing in number in equal proportion to that of women. However, men can become “handsomer” by following some minimal beauty tips as explained below (and no, none of these suggestions include medical supplies).

To increase the facial beauty, you can wash your face twice a day with some good face wash cream. These are easily available in the market, and will help you to be free of grime and acne. But, first you must ensure that the chemical content in it is minimal and does not harm the skin.

To make sure you retain moisture in the skin, never use deodorant based body soaps or face washes. Instead, use skin toners that contain Aloe Vera or Vitamin E. By using razors that have strips of Aloe, men can save their selves from after shave burns.

Also, you can apply homemade face packs that suit your skin. Though most men ignore it, sunscreen is one product that should be slathered on in heaps. After all, men’s skin is not immune to the sun!

Hair on the ear lobes is a big NO-NO! You should get rid of these, unless you don’t want a girl to even touch you with a barge pole! Same goes for nostril hair that unnecessarily sticks out. So, put that scissor to good use.

Having body massages on regular basis or on weekends can be very relaxing as well as good for improving the blood circulation. It will also help you to tone your body. Exercises and a healthy diet is a must to keep you in good shape.

Wearing clean and well ironed clothes go a long way in giving that extra polish to your personality. And, never forget to spray on some perfume or deodorant when you are stepping out of the house.

These simple tips will help you to be “well turned out”.
